Hello AHA Members and Registrants,

Just to let you all know, we have added bans on a greater range of IP addresses that are in violation of our Terms of Service, very specifically iCloud Private Relay and Amazon Data Proxies.

Sorry to do this, but one of the ways that we build trust with JAFF Authors to post their stories here at AHA is we ask all of the members to be honest and use their real IP address rather than skulk around the site using a privacy cloaking in the form of a Virtual Private Server (VPN), a Proxy service, an iCloud Private Relay, or a datacenter sever, etc.

If you have come to AHA and see a “Banned” listing, then turn off your VPN, Datacenter server, Proxy Server, or iCloud Private Relay. After you turn it off, clear your browser’s history and cache before returning to AHA.

While your IT tech at work or home may have set up a VPN thinking it makes it safer for you to do a variety of activities, that may be fine but many of the VPNs used have highly toxic / fraudulent IP ratings with a number of services that evaluate what is happening under those ‘private’ internet usages. While you may think you are safe, your bank, AHA, and Disney, among many others, think that IP address is toxic.

Thus, when you use a VPN or Proxy Server or the like, we have NO IDEA if you are a data scraper or a story thief or someone whose roommate or kid is cruising the dark web or just a regular nice JAFF member who thinks a VPN makes the internet safer.

We don’t ask for your real name and real home address, but we do ask that you don’t violate author copyright and you use your real IP address as a method of trust building.

In return, we treat your data very securely and never share it or sell it.

If you don’t feel comfortable being on this site without a method of privacy cloaking or hiding who you are, then please PM an Admin and we will delete your account.

Please note that very soon instead of getting a Banned screen when you use an IP Address we have banned, you will instead be rerouted to a page that will encourage you to turn off your VPN/Proxy/iCloud Privacy Relay/etc.
